How To Unblock Downloads On Windows 10

Hullo,

Thank you lot for posting your query at Microsoft community.

Which browser are you lot using to download files? Do yous have any third party awarding installed?
Exercise you become any fault messages? The download may also be prevented if your firewall is blocking.

1. Click on the "Windows Firewall" link in the All Control Panel Items window.

2. Click on the "Turn Windows Firewall On or Off" link in the left sidebar.

3. Uncheck the box adjacent to "Block All Incoming Connections, Including Those in the List of Allowed Apps" under Private Network Settings and Public Network Settings.

4. Click the "OK" push button to salve your changes.
   

Do not forget to plough firewall on later on you lot are done troubleshooting.

Information technology doesn't seem to matter whether I am using Chrome or Edge.  It doesn't help to uncheck the Cake All Incoming Connections box.  It doesn't even help to plough Windows Firewall completely off.

Hey there,

I tried those steps with no luck.

My anti virus software expired so I didn't have any installed until just now, then I dont think that could have been the reason for the problem.

and I've done some scans now which haven't found whatever viruses or malware that could exist doing this either....

Anyone know how to revert back to the old version of windows?

Not sure at that place is any other way effectually information technology, and information technology's only slowing piece of work downward way to much....

Your response doesn't even accost the trouble.  This has NOTHING to do with a firewall or anti-virus software.

The files aren't being blocked from existence downloaded, they are blocked from being opened afterwards downloading.  You have to manually go into each file'due south properties and uncheck the "unblock" box.  When you have to download numerous files from a trusted site, this can be a fleck annoying rather than downloading and just opening the file.
