How To Clean Galaxy S8 Screen

I've got a Galaxy S8 on release, and when I put my phone in my pocket, it gets smudge on the same exact spot everytime, this does not happen only when I put it inside my pocket but also when I use my finger on the same spot.
Cleaning the smudge is pretty hard it doesn't go away easily like your typical smudge but still it does go away, but after a while it just reappears; I tried cleaning with alcohol and the same thing happens.
Now with alcohol something interesting happens, when you put on alcohol on the screen, it becomes little drips of alcohol, so that the alcohol doesn't stick on the screen, but on the spot that the smudge appears the alcohol sticks, and doesn't turn to little drips, I will put pictures soon.
I want to know if I should get a replacement or not, and If I can somehow fix it.

That's your oleophibic coating wearing off. Do you regularly clean your phone with alcohol?

I have the same exact issue, never used anything but a microfiber cloth to clean and it comes back within a day. Can't for the life of me figure this out.

Excessive cleaning could wear out the coating but shouldn't happen this fast maybe about a year or so at least until it starts to wear out.

Just try a rom, if you don't like it you can check out another one

It's seems to be the oleophobic coating (anti fingerprint coating) wearing off. The spots are running right along the seam of my work pants and the bottom hem of my boxers.
I cracked my screen and getting it replaced tomorrow and am putting a screen protector on it right away, that coating has never worn of in any way like this on any of my other phones.

Short Version: Rub crushed powdered kind of ice on the screen, especially at smudges, and wipe it clean with a soft microfiber cloth.????

Ok first of, I play pubg mobile a lot, and use thumb control setup. So at two places, where my thumb rests, one day I noticed a significant smudge on both places.????

I tried alcorub(alcohol solution) to wipe it off, but same as above, it sticked on screen.??

Today, after playing a long session, I put phone to charging, and it was heating up, so I put it in ice section in my refrigerator with its screen facing down and in contact with ice for 5 mins???. Some water droplets condensed, so I cleaned it with cloth.?

To my surprise, I was like yureka! I found the solution! I noticed that smudges were completely gone, and my a was glossy and good as new!????
